Every dog is different, but generally, you can easily train your dog to be on a long leash. At first, you’ll want to keep the lead short and reward the dog for not pulling. Then, you’ll gradually give the dog more lead and continue to reward loose leash walking. This gradual process teaches your dog not to pull on the lead, even when they have a lot of leash length.
